The Principality of Monaco has welcomed a new football reality for a few days with the birth of Monaco United Football Club , an ambitious project that aims to revolutionise the local and international sporting landscape, created by Marco Simone , former football legend and emblematic figure of AS Monaco.
The new Monaco United Football Club aims to be a forward-looking football club, with a modern and inclusive vision of sport. According to a recent press release, the club declares that it is essentially based on three fundamental pillars:
- State-of-the-art facilities – The club’s official headquarters are located in the heart of Monaco, while training and home matches will take place at the Stade Didier Deschamps in Cap-d’Ail.
- Women’s football at the heart – The heart of the project is the women’s team, the Monaco United Women’s Team , which aspires to quickly reach the top of European football, with the aim of competing in the Ligue 1 Féminine .
- Men’s team and youth development – The club also includes a men’s team, enriched by the presence of leading figures from the world of football. In addition, an academy has been established for young talents aged 14 to 23, which will offer a tailor-made sporting and educational path.
